Book Review!

Hello girls,

By Monday 27th April, I would like everyone to post up a new book review!

Keep the book reviews and the comments coming...

(Has anyone been to see the film "Marley and Me" - it is a book also!  I read the book a few years ago

and cried my eyes out, so I'm not planning on going to see the film in the cinema, I'll have to wait until

it comes out on dvd!  If anyone would like the book, let me now and I'll bring it in for you!)

Regards,

Ms O'Sullivan

A NEW YEAR AND A NEW BOOK REVIEW!

Well you have all had plenty of time to read a book or two over Christmas.  Now it is time for another book review!  Please have your book review posted up by Friday 30th January.  Please make sure that you not only summarise the plot of your novel but also COMMENT on it by giving your opinions on some of the characters and themes.  Some of you are forgetting to give your own thoughts and opinions!

Just to keep you up to date:

"Twilight" is now in the cinema and I know that some of you have read this novel already.  If you haven't read the novel, what are you waiting for!?!  If you have finished the novel and are writing a book review on it, it would be a good idea to mention the film version also.  If you have a copy of the book and are finished with it, maybe you would consider adding it to the library so others can enjoy it!

"Slumdog Millionaire" is also in the cinemas.  The novel version is called "Q&A" and it is absolutely fantastic.  The film is a surprisingly good adaptation of the novel but the novel is far superior.  I will bring my copy of the novel into school next week for anyone wishing to read it.

Best of luck girls,

Happy Reading!

Ms O'Sullivan

  • Themes you found interesting (love in particular!)
  • Any other thoughts, insights or comments
  • Don't forget to rate the play out of 10!
