Romeo and Juliet is a play about two star-crossed lovers. They meet by accident and fall in love. Althow a feud between their two families means they can not be together. So the pair arrange to be married in secret, the consiquences follow.

The main characters in this play are Romeo and Juliet.
Juliet is a strong, kind rational person.
While Romeo is caring and impulsive.

In my oppinion the play had a good ending, and i think it showed that they two young lovers fate was written in the stars.

The main theme in this play is love. Romeo and Juliet risk and loose their lives for eachother and this shows how deep a love they had for eachother. Another important theme in this play is family. Romeo could not be together because of their families.

I thought this was a very interesting and well written play by shakespeare.

Summary: Bruno lives in Berlin. Bruno finds out that he has to move because of his fathers job. He dosn't like his new house, he fells homesick. Bruno is told not to explore but one day when he is very bored, he does. When he explores he meets a boy called Shmuel, he is at the other side of a fence sorounding Brunos house. Brouno dosn't know that the boy lives in a concentration camp where his father is Commandment. The two young boys become good friends. Then after a while, for differnt reasons Bruno decides to climb under the fence to see what his friends life is like. What will happen to Bruno??

My Thoughts: I thought this book was a brilliant book. The main Charactor was Bruno. I think the main theme of this book is friendship because Bruno wouldn't have went under the fence if his friend didnt live the other side of it. I thought teh saddest part of this novel was at the end, I thought the happiest part was when Bruno made a new friend.

I though this was a really good, well written book that I'd recommend.

Summary: This book is about a black family living in the 1930's. It tells about the way black people were treated back then by the white people. The story is told by a member of the family, Cassie Logan. Cassie can't understand why the white children are treated better than the black. She dosn't think she should have to move off the side-walk for a white girl nor should she be served last in the shops. Cassie is told thats just the way things are, but Cassie just will not accept that. Casie just wants everyone to be equal. When a former friend of the family gets in trouble the Logan's will do whatever it takes to help him. But just how far will the Logan's go to help out ?!?!?

Front Cover: The front cover is an orange colour with a picture of a house on the front. "ROLL of Thunder Hear My CRY". Written in bold black letters.

My thoughts: I think is book is great! I think the main themes of this book were racism and family. My favourite character was Cassie as she stood up for what she thought was write and she wouldn't back down. I thought it was interesting to hear all the things that the white people did to the black back then. I felt sad when Cassie had to get off the side-walk for Lillian-Jean. And I felt happy when Cassie found out Stacey was safe after the cotten crop burning.

I would recomend this book to anyone who is looking for an interesting read!! =)

I would definatly bring High School Musical -Battle of the Bands . As I think it's a really good book to read. I also think it's a story that  never gets old and a story I could read again and again! I also like the style of writing. Oh and I also like to look at Zac Efron on the cover !! All in all a good read. Oh and happy world book day 2008!
