Summary of book: This book is about a girl called Jinx who is originally from Iowa, America but then she moves to New York to live with her Aunt and Uncle and their family because she is being stalked by her old boyfriend. Jinx, whos real name is Jean, is so-called because anything that she does turns really bad. Jean's Aunt has three children Tory, Teddy and Alice. The family had been to visit Jean and her family in Iowa five years ago and she hadn't seen them since. Her eldest cousin Tory, used to be a plain, simple girl just like her five years ago but when Jean arrived(one day early, and not met by her Aunt)got a taxi to their house and fell up the steps and was then met by the family's housekeeper, Petra. When she seen Tory, she and her friends were out in the garden in the gazebo smoking. Jean went out to it to find Tory completly changed, a goth, who wore heavy eyeliner and and pale make-up. The next day Jean meets her neighbour Zack, who her cousin Tory has liked forever, but they never went out. After they finished talking Zack was going on to the footpath when a bike came and almost hit him but Jean pushed him out of the way before it hit him. That night Tory goes into Jean's room with a shoebox and takes out a doll which resembles Zack. Tory tells her that it is supposed to be a magic doll that will make Zack fall in love with her. It had Tory's hair and Zacks hair on its head. Zack and Jean get to be close friends and Tory gets jealous of their relationship. Tory starts doing more magic on Petra and "curses" her. Jean goes to a magic shop in New York and asks the shop owner, Lisa, how to stop Tory doing magic. Jean casts a binding spell and stops Tory doing magic. A few dats later, Tory's boyfriend, Robert, gets expelled from school and Tory blames Jean for it.  Later that day when Jean is going to her locker she sees  big group of people around it. There was a big, dead rat hangigng from it. Jean knows it was just revenge from Tory for getting Robert expelled. Tory's parents are angry at her and they decide that she needs help. She goes to a psycharaist and she gets better and is happy and apologises to Jean for all the trouble she caused. The prom is coming up and Tory brings Jean shopping for a dress as a sorry present. Jean accecpts and Tory picks out a beautiful, sleek, black dress for Jean. Tory buys a lovely white one and Jean wonders why because Tory told her that everyone wears black.  Zack asks would Jean go with him and she does and Tory says that she is going by herself. When they arrive Tory runs off by herself. A few minutes later Tory comes over with a boy. It turns out it was the boy that was stalking Jean. She gets mad and goes home. In the end Jean admits that she loves Zack and Tory gets better.

Summary: This book is about a girl called Bella Swan who is used to live with her mother but now lives with her father in Forks.   She gets a red truck from her father, and he got it from Bella's childhood friend Jacob Black.   Bella goes to school in Forks.   She meets a boy calles Edward Cullen, who is a vampire.  Bella thinks Edward doesn't like her, because she had to sit beside him in one of her classes and he sat as far away as he could from her.   Bella wonders why he doesn't like her and tries to figure it out.   Edward doesn't come in for the next few days and Bella thinks its her fault.   The next day Edward is in, but this time he talks to her.   They become friends.  Bella finds out Edward is a vampire.   He brings Bella over to meet his family.   He has a big family,   his dad, Carlisle, his mam, Esme, his two sisters Alice and Rosalie, and his two brothers Jasper and Emmett.   When Bella's dad, Charlie meets Edward he doesn't like him.   When Edward is at Charlie's house he asks Charlie could he bring Bella out to his house.   He says yes but she has to be home early.   Edward and his family bring Bella to a field in the middle of the forest.   There is a storm and Bella wonders why they are there.   It turns out they are going to play baseball.   They need the storm to play because they can hit the ball really hard and it sounds like thunder.   Half way through the game, another vampire family come.   They want to play too.   They don't realise that Bella is a human until one of them, James, smells her.   Edward and Bella have to run as quickly as they can because once a vampire gets it into his head that he wants to kill someone he won't stop until he does.   Bella is afraid that the James is going to come and kill her or her father so she decides to leave.   She doesn't want to but she does just to make sure her father is safe.   She fakes a fight with Edward and then she leaves. She goes with Edward and his sister Alice,to a hotel close to where Bella's mam, Renee, lives.   Alice has a vision about James in a ballet studio, where Bella went to as a child.   Bella goes to the ballet studio without telling Edward or Alice.   James comes out and bites her.   Edward and the rest of his family come and save Bella.   They kill James and burn him.   Edward sucks the venom out of Bella, but he almost kills her.   When Bella wakes up she is in the hospital with her Mam, Dad and Edward.   She gets out of the hospital.   Alice gives her a dress to wear and does her make-up.   Bella doesn't have a clue whats going on so she just goes along with it.   They go to the school for a dance.   Bella is embarassed a doesn't want to get out of the car because, firstly, she can't dance and, secondly, she has a broken leg.   Edward makes her dance and they have a wonderful night.

My favourite character: My favourite character is Edward because he is shy and mysterious but also brave and strong.

Film Version: I think the film version of Twilight is really good but the books are defenitely better because they are more descriptive.

Name of Book: Romeo and Juliet.

Rating out of ten: 8/10

Summary: This book is about a seventeen year old boy called Romeo and a thirteen year old girl called Juliet who fall in love with each other.   The only problem with them falling in love is that they are from the Capulet and Montague famailes who are feuding.   At first Romeo loves a girl called Rosalie but unfortunately for Romeo that love is unreturned.   Romeo and Juliet meet at a Capulets party, which Romeo and his cousin Benvolio and their friend Mercutio have not been invited to.   They instantly fell in love.   Juliets cousin, Tybalt, notices Romeo at the party and tells him that he will get revenge for crashing the party.   Romeo and Juliet get married soon after.   It is a secret wedding and only Juliets nurse and Friar Laurence know about it.   Later that day Romeo and his two friends meet Tybalt on the street and he challenges Romeo to a sword fight.   Tybalt kills Mercutio and out of rage Romeo kills Tybalt and is banished from Verona.   Romeo  goes to live with Friar Laurence in Mantua.   Friar Laurence gets an idea to get Romeo and  Juliet back together.   He gives Juliet a potion to make her sleep but look dead.   He would then get Romeo to go to Juliets tomb and break her out and run off together.   Romeo never finds out that its only a potion and he goes and buys some poison to kill himself and die with Juliet.   He goes to Juloets tomb, where he meets Paris, the man who wanted to marry Juliet before she died.   Romeo kills Paris and places him in the tomb beside Juliet.   Romeo drinks the poison and just as he dies Juliet wakes up.   She sees Romeo and Paris dead on the ground and takes  Romeos knife and kills herself.   Romeos mum and dad and Juliets mum and dad come in to the tomb and they shake hands and make up.   They promised to never fight again.

My favourite character: My favourite character in this play was Juliet because she is brave and strong.

My least favourite character: My least favourite character was the Nurse because  she pretended to be nice but in the end she just dithed Juliet and didn't care about anything as long as she kept her job.

Name of book: How to be popular

Summary: This book is about a girl called Stephanie Landry who is the most unpopular girl in the school due to the fact that she spilt a red slushy all over the most popular girls white,denim mini skirt.   From that moment on whenever anyone did anything wrong people would say"don't pull a Steph!" or "keep doing that and you'll be the new Steph!".   For a number of years this continued until she got a book off her soon-to-be step-gran called "How To Be Popular!".   She read it every night and followed the steps at school the next day.   She slowly started being popular but she had to ditch her old friends, who were also unpopular, to make it in with the popular people.   Meanwhile her grandad and her best friends gran were going to get married.  Stephs mum did not like her dads "new wife-to-be " because she thought he would never get over her mum.   In memory of Stephs grandads "new wife" he built an obsveratory in the town.   When Steph is fully popular a party is arranged, but it is raining so they can't have it where they wanted to, so Stephs new friends say a good place to do it would be at the obsveratory.   In the end Steph says that they can't have the party at the obsveratory and Stephs mum goes to the wedding!

My favourite character: My favourite character was Steph because she was strong and wasn't afraid to stand up for herself.

My least favourite character: My least favourite character was Stephs mum because she was always sad and gloomy. 

I thought it was really good because it was a lot handier than writing it out by hand and if you wanted to find out if a book was good you could just ask anyone who has read it.   Yes I liked having a blog because I could write anything I wanted about a book that i've read.   I thought it was great being able to read other peoples blogs because if you want to read a book and you don't if its good, you can read what other people have thought of it.   Yes i would like to do another blog next year because it was really fun to do.
